1. In a prospective study, advantages and disadvantages of the stapler hemorrhoidectomy (SH) are compared with the Milligan-Morgan (MM) procedure on 300 patients (150:150) with reducible anal prolapse.

2. Immobile hemorrhoidal and anal prolapses are usually managed with anoderm resection methods such as the Milligan–Morgan hemorrhoidectomy or reconstructive anoderm incision methods such as those devised by Parks, Fansler–Arnold and Winkler.

3. The stapled hemorrhoidectomy for treating reducible anal prolapse seems to be a simple technique and offers some advantages such as less pain, shorter hospital stay and earlier recovery to the patient. On the other hand the rate of complications of 10 % is rather high and the procedure rather expensive.

Die Durchführung der Stapler-Hämorrhoidektomie nachKoblandin (2) undLongo (4) beim reponiblen Hämorrhoidalprolaps erscheint technisch einfach und bietet auf Grund geringerer Schmerzhaftigkeit und kürzerer Behandlungsdauer Vorteile für den Patienten, die Komplikationsrate ist allerdings mit etwa 10 % relativ hoch.

4. The following 50 proctologic procedures were performed using TLA as day surgery cases: perianal vein thrombectomy (n=15), subanodermal fistula resection (n=7), anal polyp resection (n=7), fissurectomy (n=6), perianal abscess revision (n=6), excision of anal skin tags (n=3), hemorrhoidectomy for thrombosed piles (n=3), intersphincteric fistula extirpation (n=1), pilonidal sinus (n=1), and perianal tumor excision (n=1).

Bei 50 Patienten wurden ambulant in TLA die folgenden proktologischen Eingriffe durchgeführt: Analvenenthrombektomie (n=15), subanodermale Fistelspaltung (n=7), Analpolypenresektion (n=7), Fissurektomie (n=6), perianale Abszesspaltung (n=6), Mariskenabtragung (n=3), Hämorrhoidektomie (n=3), interspinktäre Fistelspaltung (n=1), Pilonidalsinusexzision (n=1), perianale Tumorexstirpation (n=1).
